So how do you set up your own Street Cheer group?
You are here - Page 4
Have a register

  • Have a pre-prepared 'registration form' designed on the computer.
  • Carry spare copies at all times in case of new comers.
The registration form should provide you with all the information you need to safely teach that child e.g. full name, age, emergency contact details, and any health problems.

  • Collate information from the first session each pupil has with you.
Have an emergency procedure.
If an accident or incident were to happen during class, have a procedure in place that all pupils are aware of and understand the need to follow. Include an emergency contact for yourself.

Keep an accident book/log.
Insurers will require you to have an accident book, as it will provide proof of the incident in the event of a claim being made. These are available at stationary stores and must be kept up to date at all times.

Produce letters and information newsletters.
Parents and participants need to be kept informed of developments and future opportunities available to them. It is important to provide regular, clear communication.
